01 Thursday, 9 September · Lanzerac EstateArrival in the Winelands
Transfer privately from Cape Town International Airport to Lanzerac. Settle into the estate before meeting Richie and the group for a welcome dinner among the vineyards.
02 Friday, 10 September · StellenboschArt and nature intertwined
Paint in the Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden, where monumental bronze works, indigenous fynbos and mountain light create the setting for Richie’s opening demonstration.
03 Saturday, 11 September · Boulders BeachCoastal colour and African penguins
Travel along the Cape Peninsula to the penguin colony, then set up overlooking turquoise water and granite boulders for a coastal painting session with Richie.
04 Sunday, 12 September · Table MountainThe iconic peak
Ascend by cableway for a high-altitude plein-air session shaped by sweeping views of the city, ocean and surrounding Cape mountains.
05 Monday, 13 September · Cape WinelandsThe art of the vine
Slow the pace with an estate tasting and local cuisine, then paint the ordered lines of the vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture in afternoon light.
06 Tuesday, 14 September · Kapama Private Game ReserveInto the wild
Fly from the Cape to Greater Kruger, exchange cool greens for savanna gold and take your first game drive before an evening discussion on painting the bush.
07 Wednesday, 15 September · KapamaGolden hour and the Big Five
Track wildlife at dawn, paint during the quieter midday hours and study the brilliant light, atmospheric dust and earthy palette of the bushveld.
08 Thursday, 16 September · KapamaTextures of the bushveld
Combine game viewing with studies of acacia forms, moving grasses and the dramatic play of light and shadow across the reserve.
09 Friday, 17 September · KapamaThe final canvas
Gather final references on a morning drive, complete your paintings in a concluding masterclass and celebrate at a farewell boma dinner beneath the stars.
10 Saturday, 18 September · Greater KrugerDeparture
Watch one last sunrise over the reserve, enjoy breakfast and transfer to the airstrip for your onward journey.
