Arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport and transfer to the InterContinental. Meet Mark and your fellow artists over a relaxed welcome dinner.
02 Saturday, 14 August · Kapama River LodgeInto the wild
Travel to Greater Kruger and settle into your suite at Kapama River Lodge. Your first Big Five safari unfolds in the late-afternoon light before dinner beneath the stars.
03 Sunday, 15 August · Kapama River LodgePainting the African bush
Begin with a sunrise game drive, then paint alongside Mark through demonstrations, outdoor sessions and individual instruction before returning to the bush.
04 Monday, 16 August · Kapama River LodgeWildlife and workshops
Search for elephant, lion and leopard on morning and afternoon safaris while continuing to refine your wildlife painting with Mark’s guidance.
05 Tuesday, 17 August · Kings CampJourney to Timbavati
After a final Kapama safari, travel to Kings Camp in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. Settle in before an evening drive and dinner overlooking the waterhole.

Balance exhilarating wildlife encounters with painting from life, one-to-one feedback and the quiet rhythm of a day in the reserve.

Mark combines the eye of an accomplished wildlife painter with the patience of an experienced teacher. Through demonstrations, one-to-one feedback and field observation, he helps artists simplify complex scenes, understand light and make work with greater feeling.
